I am generally interested in stereotypes, prejudice and intergroup relations, and have focused on gender in my PhD-project. I find the expression (or lack thereof) of stereotypes/prejudice very interesting, and how it could be looked at using different methods (e.g., quantitative scales, responses to open-ended questions, or discourse analysis of interviews/texts). The ways different roles are construed, particularly gender roles and the managerial role, is at the heart of my research. When it comes to intergroup relations, I have mainly been concerned with social identity theory and modern/subtle forms of expressing racial prejudice or sexism. Cultural aspects have also become a concern of mine, as the cultural context shapes the norms for appropriate behaviour, for example the expression of stereotypes or (non)egalitarian values.
