Interests
My general interests are within positive psychology, asking questions such as: What makes some individuals, teams, and/or organizations perform better than other? In my forthcoming doctorial thesis, I investigate if individual performance during plant closure can be better understood by Goal-Setting Theory and/or Psychological Climate Theory. For example, Does an individual continue striving to attain his or her personal work goals when the individual's goals are not that which is supported by the organisation, i.e. plant closure? I am also examining if personality plays a role in why some individuals will remain with the company and continue to maintain high levels of performance.
Education
MSc. in Psychology from Stockholm University.
B.A in Behavioural Sciences from Mälardalen University.
PhD in Psychology from Stockholm University.
Teaching
Teaching interests include diversity management, job analysis, and performance appraisals. Further interests include the understanding of cultural differences within companies and how the companies manage these diversities. In my mind, this becomes more attention-grabbing because companies are becoming increasingly multi-cultural with a wide variety of work values, work attitudes, and leadership skills. Therefore, the manner in which companies manage these growing diversities is an important aspect in maintaining a balanced work environment.
