Maria Sandgren

Main research interest is the music making individual from various aspects: choral singing and well-being, choir directors and leadership, singing development, personality, expert performance, definitions of musical skills. Her thesis in 2005 regarded the professional pursuit of opera singers from three angles; personality, health and skill acqusition.
Teaching areas are mainly gender psychology and developmental/life span psychology. She gives lectures in music psychology, well-being & happiness, personality and questionnaire construction.
