Research interests
What are the characteristics in terms of neuropsychological studies of diseases resulting in cognitive and affective changes, e.g., Alzheimers disease, cerebrovascular diseases, frontotemporal dementia, multiple sclerosis etc? Particularly preclinical changes in these conditions are in focus. There is also a strong interest in hereditary forms of diseases.
What is the relationship between neuroimaging, neurochemical and neurophysiological studies and cognitive and affective changes in persons with the diseases mentioned above?
What kind of mapping exists between brain activity and behaviour as revealed by functional studies (fMRI, fPET, fEEG etc) in persons with cognitive and affective disease?
What are the effects of drugs designed for treatment of cognitive impairment?
Clinical activity
Part-time clinical work with individuals suspected for development of dementia diseases at the Neurocognitive Unit, Geriatric Clinic, Huddinge University Hospital, Stockholm. These patients are also subjects in many research projects.
